Gresham's School Boys - 2nd XI vs  Royal Hospital School
On: Saturday, 02 Feb 2019
Venue: at Home

An outstanding performance from start to finish against a weakened RHS side. Direct from the first whistle the boys were on form and stroking the ball around the pitch. Impish forward Jack Stewart-Richardson was clearly up for the challenge, scoring three unanswered goals in quick succession, including a sweet deflection. The move of the game was instigated by Cargill, with deft skills on half-way, releasing Pieper, who unleashed on the reverse into the bottom right corner to make it 4-0. RHS showed some resolve in the second half, but Gresham's stuck to their task and Harry Adams was rewarded for his skills on the right with a tidy goal. With a few minutes remaining, the only goal we had not achieved was to improve on our conversion rate at short corners. However, quick thinking from Kinder and Sheridan (Snr) from an improvised short corner, allowed Hudson to grab a cheeky goal at the far post to make it 6-1. An excellent day, great attitude and proper hockey. POM: Harry Adams.
