Orwell Park v Gresham's U11 A Team
Gresham's second game of week was to be their longest away match of the season and despite the excitement bought little joy from a results point of view as Orwell Park proved to be a step too far at this point in Gresham's U11 A Team's development.
Evan C and Ed M made some super runs and successfully broke through the defensive line on a number of occasions only to be denied by some quick scramble defence just before the try line. George C and Archie T were as combative as ever in attack and defence and made good ground despite Orwell's defensive intentions.
Elias F competed well at the ruck to secure some good ball for the visitors and also carried well on occasion as did Archie C which was pleasing to witness.
Sadly defensive efforts although improved from earlier in the week were not enough to prevent OP scoring 10 trys in 40 mins for a resounding 10-0 victory.
Although the scoreboard speaks for itself there were some very encouraging passages of play from Gresham's and some fine individual performances of note. MOTM goes to Evan C who was fantastic and tireless in both attack and defence and was the winner of the second half tackle challenge initiated at half time.
