Boys Rugby - U11 A Team v Town Close School (h)
Result 3-6 Loss
A disappointing result for the U 11 A Team who played well in parts but were slow off the mark against a good Town Close side.
Town Close were 3 trys to the good before Gresham's "woke up" after which some good rugby was evident from both sides to make it an enjoyable spectacle of rugby.
Gresham's attacking rucks and counter rucking were vastly improved and although some very good tackles were made as a whole that particular area of the game needs improving.
Gresham's trys came from Olaolu A, Capt Oscar B-W and James C.
Congratulations to MOTM and Captain Oscar B-W who was a role model for the boys both on and off the field of play. His finish for the 2nd home try was also something special to behold, unstoppable.
Thank you to all the boys from Gresham's for their efforts and thank you to Town Close for a great game and for playing such an entertaining, attractive and effective style of rugby in such a sporting manner.
Many thanks to our parents as always for their passionate support of the boys efforts, your cheers and positive comments from the touchline really helped the boys dig in after the first ten minutes,
Thank you again to Sarah Atkinson for providing such expert touchline assistance to the players. Your help and expertise is very much appreciated.
On Saturday Gresham's plays host to Orwell Park at home kick off is again 2.15pm.
