Gresham's U11 A Team v LPS@TH U11 A Team

On a blustery, wet day at Taverham Hall Gresham's U11 A Team played their last scheduled match of the season.

Both teams were committed to playing the ball through the hand despite the conditions and for the most part this led to some encouraging rugby.

Langley started the scoring then Gresham's replied with two of their own from Nick K and Jack Ha. Two more scores, one from a rampaging run by Jack Ha. and the other Speedy winger Oli M. saw the first half finish 4-3 in Gresham's favour.

Handling was difficult in the conditions and a growing amount of loose ball was causing low levels of chaos. Langley kept track with the scoring with both sides scoring two a piece in the second half (Greshams scores came from Oli M and a super try from Capt Jack Ho. running off the master of evasion, Nick K).

With time ticking away it looked like the last fixture would be a hard fought win for Gresham's but Langley managed to squeeze into the corner in the last play of the match to force the draw.

Final Score LPS@TH 6 - Gresham's 6

Thank you to our opposition for hosting us today and for a good game of rugby played in good spirits. Thank you also to our parents who have again braved the weather to support us as they have done all season.

Special mentions go to our two direct ball carriers, Jack Ha. and Charlie C. who got our attack on the front foot today. MOTM goes to our Capt. for today Jack Ho. who had a very strong all round game, moved the ball wide into space and supported or initiated a rather large chunk of our attacking play, congratulations Jack and your try was "top drawer".
