Our first games of the season were against The Perse and Norwich school in a triangular tournament. The Perse had many Cambridge City HC players amongst their ranks but our girls gave them a good battle and should have taken the lead but for a goal line clearance after a well worked penalty corner. We went on to create many good chances but just couldn't find the net. The Perse were more clinical on the day and scored twice from fewer chances created. Next up was Norwich and having discussed the need for more shots on target the girls did not disappoint. We peppered the Norwich goal for the first 15 minutes and scored twice. A much improved attacking display and we ran out 4-2 winners against our local rivals. Alice Marjoram with two goals, Ellie Mathes and Felicity Brady with 1 each. POTM Evie Hood
