On: Saturday, 22 Jun 2019
Venue: at Home

In a disappointingly one-sided match, the U14B team easily put the travelling RHS team to the sword. Batting first, RHS made exactly 50 runs. With 2 given for a wide or a no ball, ‘extras’ was the top scorer with 28. The highest scoring RHS batsman scored 5. Luke Widdowson was the pick of the bowlers, his loopy off spin taking 4 simple wickets, at an average of 2 runs per wicket. with the opposition playing consistently across the line. Ben Roper, in his first game as Captain, was excellent behind the stumps, getting 2 stumpings as well. Harry Nelstrop was committed and strong in the field.

In reply, Gresham’s made the total in 10.3 overs. Nico Allen opened the batting and continued his poor form with the bat – another duck, this one diamond in colour. Nelly and Olly Croft the played well , scoring relatively freely and took us home without further loss of wickets, Nelly not out on 9, Crofty on 26, with some lovely shot-making at the end from him.

POM – Luke Widdowson
