Match Report
Gresham's School The Mighty U14Bs vs  Culford School
On: Saturday, 05 May 2018
Venue: Away

The U14Bs had a comfortable victory on a glorious day, away at Culford. We batted well for our full 20 overs, with the top 5 batsmen all getting good runs. Alex Claybourn and Charlie Addison were powerful and effective, both getting over 30 runs. Nick Dugdale was the most stylish batsman, with a lovely late cut. We scored 134 in 20 overs. From the Diamond duck (opening batsman out first ball), it was clear that there was only going to be one outcome, and in the end Culford clung on bravely for 18 overs. It gave all our team the chance to bowl, which was great. Teddy Bowden was the most economical (1 for 1) in his two overs; Nick Dugdale learned the most - slowing down his bowling and immediately taking two wickets ! The moment of the day was a splendiferous catch from Jack Reader at point - diving in front of him to take the catch with his wrong hand. Well done to the whole team, who were excellent.
