Match Report
Gresham's School The Mighty U14Bs vs  Norwich School
On: Saturday, 21 Apr 2018
Venue: Away

Gresham's U14Bs lost the toss and were put in to bat, at Redmayne fields. Nick Morgan opened the batting and virtually carried his bat, out in the last over. 70 excellent runs scored, by just playing the deliveries on their merits and with no risks taken until the last over or two. Very mature batting. Nick was very well supported by Callum Richardson, Ollie Thomas and Nick Dugdale with scores of 19, 18 and 17 respectively.

The Norwich innings started with excellent play by their opener G Morris, who scored 33, but after he was out, it always seemed that Gresham's had the upper hand, Norwich not quite getting their noses in front. Charlie Addison had an excellent opening spell of 2 wickets for 24 runs, but Ollie Thomas took the bowling honours with 4 for 14, despite being no-balled twice by the Norwich umpire for throwing (he is a champion javelin chucker, after all !) . The difference between the two teams ? Norwich dropped 5 catches, including Nick Morgan on 24; we kept hold of all 6 chances. Well done to the team on an excellent start to the season.
